The new site will be built upon non proprietary open source code. Open Source is supported by 10’s of thousands of programmers around the world allowing the Chamber to save tens of thousands for similar proprietary types of content management systems (CMS).

Students get Internet savvy |
 Webacom is giving back to the community by teaching a free class to the South Wellington Elementary students, Grades 5, 6, and 7.
Along the way Webacom will be aiding in the development of a new website that will be constructed based on the student's brainstorming.

Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year |
 During the last Chamber luncheon, Webacom was honored as Chamber Member of the Year. Webacom has really helped the Chamber over the past number of years and more recently volunteered marketing services to create and produce the Barb & Bill Show. The Barb & Bill Show is a video series created to help increase attendees to the morning and afternoon mixers. The videos are posted on YouTube and sent out to all Chamber members.

 On April 7th, 2010 Jay Somerville, CEO and Jason Somerville, VP attended the F5 Expo at the Vancouver Convention Centre. There were many reasons for attending but the main goal was to expand their social media horizons.
Most of us now realize the important role social media plays in our business's potential reach. Equally important is the ability to target your specific demographic though a Facebook campaign for example and monitoring the metrics.

Webacom walks the Red Carpet |
|
 Webacom is heading back to Hollywood to attend a pre-Oscar red carpet event with client Dr. Chugay, a world renowned cosmetic surgeon from Los Angeles.
The event will be held in a 5,000 square foot Penthouse at the Sunset Vine Tower, only six blocks away from the Kodak Theatre where the Oscars will be held. Proceeds will benefit the Rasual Butler Foundation towards raising money to help rebuild Haiti.
