Webacom Visits Hawaii!
Kona Lani is a 2-bedroom vacation home in the gated community of Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club. It’s a fully furnished two bedroom unit offering two full baths and fully equipped kitchen.
In the Hawaiian language, kona means leeward or dry side of the island (the sunny South West side) of the island of Hawaii. Hawaii is also known as the Big Island, the largest of all the Hawaiian islands covering over 4,000 square miles. The climate in Kona is as close to perfect as one could hope for.
Kona history includes the home of the great King Kamehameha who united all the islands under one ruler and the place where Captain James Cook was killed in 1779. Today, Kona is also well known for and home of the world-famous Ironman World Championship Triathlon which is held each year in October in Kailua-Kona. It also offers a great number of outdoor activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, golf, horse back riding and countless beautiful sights including the best beaches on the island.
While the trip was primarily intended for the photo shoot and web design inspiration, we didn’t want to only work without some great playtime fun.
Wow, did we ever play!
We stayed at Kona Lani for eight days and enjoyed every moment. We walked along Ali Drive and checked out the unique shops, we tried the local Kona Brew Pub, checked out an active volcano and explored lava tubes, walked on black sand for the first time, hung out with geckos and sea turtles, and snorkeled with a school of 50+ wild dolphins. Yes we snorkeled with over 50 wild dolphins. It was the most exhilarating experience to say the least.
The worst part was leaving but we will go back soon as we always like to build long lasting business relationships along with great friendships.
